Potato Power-Up Instant Mash Makeover
Dinner in a dash! Potato Power-Up takes the stress out of side dishes. This recipe provides a quick and easy way to create delicious, creamy mashed potatoes using instant flakes. Made in the microwave.
Ingredients
- (1) 4oz packet of instant potato flakes
- (2) Cups cold water
- (2) tsp chicken bullion powder
- (3) Tbsp butter
- (3) Tbsp sour cream
- (1) tsp parsley flakes
- (1) Tbsp dried chives
- (1/8) tsp dried dill
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Follow package directions for either microwave or stove top. I used the microwave.
- Dissolve 2 teaspoons of chicken bullion powder in a small amount of hot water. Then add it to the 2 cups of cold water in your microwave safe mixing bowl.
- Add the potato flakes and stir well.
- Microwave according to package instructions.
- Remove from microwave and stir or whisk well.
- Add butter and sour cream and stir until combined.
- Next add dry ingredients and combine.
- Check to make sure the consistency of the potatoes is to your liking. You can decide if you need more liquid. Add a small amount of milk if needed.
- Serve & Enjoy!

- Wooden spoon or silicone spatula for mixing
- Airtight storage container for refrigeration.
