Hey everyone! Today, I wanted to share a little peek into my latest crafting obsession: personalized mugs made with cup wraps. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have a Cricut machine, and I’ve even managed to create some cute things with it — like my pizza pan signs, and I promise to show you those soon! But when it comes to the more detailed and intricate Cricut projects, let’s just say my brain and the machine don’t always see eye-to-eye.
So, instead of battling with tiny vinyl pieces and complex designs, I’ve discovered the wonderful world of cup wraps! These little wonders have become my go-to for creating thoughtful and unique gifts, and they’re also perfect for those (rare) craft vendor fairs or festivals I do with my friend.
What I love most about using cup wraps is how easy they are to apply and the instant transformation they give to a plain mug. It’s a fantastic way to add a personal touch without needing to master intricate vinyl weeding or layering. The results are always vibrant, durable (depending on the type of wrap), and truly unique.
Cup wraps offer a fantastic solution if you’re looking for a heartfelt birthday present, a thank-you gift, or something special for a vendor event. They’re a testament to the fact that you don’t always need the most complex tools to create beautiful, personalized items.

Step One— Begin by cleaning and preparing your mugs (purchased at Dollar Tree). Wash your mugs in hot soapy water and rinse thoroughly. I let mine air dry, but you can use a clean dish towel to dry. After their dry wipe them off with some alcohol on a paper towel (it removes any residue or fingerprints you may have gotten on them).

Step Two— Lay out your cup wraps from the package and choose. I got these in a set of 20 on Amazon.

Step Three— Peel away the back white part of the wrap and separate.

Step Four— Align and apply to the surface of your mug and press firmly or use your Cricut squeegee.

Step Five— Slowly peel away the outer transparent layer from your cup and remove.

Step Six— And voilà there you have it. You’re all done and ready to keep or gift.

I made the one on the left for me (lefty here) , the one in the middle for my Aunt Dee and the one on the right for my BFF Kim.
I truly hope you enjoyed this little peek into my cup wrap creations. It just goes to show that beautiful and personalized gifts don’t have to be complicated. If you’ve been hesitant to tackle intricate crafting projects, give cup wraps a try – you might just surprise yourself! And don’t forget to share your own easy crafting wins in the comments below. Happy creating!
